I am retired from the V.A. Medical Center and worked with Robert in Horticulture Therapy in the Physical Medicine and Rehab. Department from 1994 until 2000. I have most fond memories of Robert as well as others. He was a dedicated worker and enjoyed working with his fellow veterans. He learned alot and passed on that knowledge to the new vets to the program. He was most proud of his learned skills as was I and his beloved volunteer. I have many stories and memories during those years and too many to share. He loved his country, his family and his fellow vets. Serving his country was the biggest part of his life and I can never ever repay him for what he sacrificed until the end, nor can any of us!
