Dear Placona Family, I wanted to share my heartfelt sympathy for your loss. I was fortunate to work with Mike through the NC Public Health's Tobacco Prevention and Control Branch. Over the years I enjoyed his thoughtful and intelligent guidance with projects at work, as well as his gentle and kind words. We were all greatly saddened by the news of his passing and shall miss him very much. May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you.
