Mae was my best friend since we were 12. We shared many a good time, we cried together and laughed together like only best friends can. One of my best memories is the weekend we spent in New York not too long before 9/11. We stayed at the World Trade Center, went to Ellis Island, Statue of Liberty. We had a grand time. We didn't know where we were going some of the time but just followed our noses. Another strong memory I have is down the Cape sitting on the Jettys, the guys fishing, Jake and RJ playing in the rocks and water and me and May sucking on a beer in the sunshine. I will miss her till the day I die. My heart has a hole in it.
