PASTOR LAW AND I HAD MANY DELIGHTFUL HOURS IN MY OFFICE AS HE TAUGHT ME ABOUT OUR SAVIOR WITH FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE. AFTER HE TOLD A JOKE HE GOT THAT MISCHIEVOUS LOOK ON HIS FACE AND LAUGHED HEARTILY. SEVENTEEN HOURS BEFORE HE DIED I SPOKE WITH HIM ON THE PHONE AND WE HAD PRAYER. HIS FUNERAL TODAY WAS VERY EMOTIONAL & 46 PASTORS WERE THERE. PASTOR LAW WOULD HAVE SAID,"NO WONDER THE SERVICE LASTED 2 HOURS AND 15 MINUTES."

George is one of the most amazing men I have had the fortune to meet. His love for the Lord was evident with every breath he took. He would visit with my Dad before the Sunday morning service and I used to tease him about warming my seat for me and he always had a story or joke to share before moving on to his seat. His e-mails would bring a smile and a laugh along with his comments. If I asked him to remember me in prayer during a difficult time, he would stop everything, putting his arm around me to pray while folks were heading to their seats not waiting until a later time.
I drove George and Daddy to Princeton, WV for Jimmie Jones' funeral service last year with them sitting on the back seat of the Expedition laughing and talking like two kids. I laughed so hard, with tears falling from my eyes at those two. George would tell the story later that it was like my "driving Miss Daisy" and he was thankful we made it up and back in the same day.
I shall miss you dear friend. Well done thy good and faithful servant.

I do not remember how old I was when I first met Pastor Law. I believe I was in 3rd grade. I remember shaking his hand after church with my parents and being introduced to him. From that day forward, he would always sing to me "Cindy in the summer time, Cindy in the fall . . ." He always had a smile and a laugh for my sisters and me. He was always there for our family--he truly had a pastor's heart. He performed my wedding ceremony in 1988 and during our pre-marriage counseling, he stressed the importance of having a God-centered marriage. His words of wisdom came from God's Word--he knew the God of the Bible. I'm quite sure today when he entered Heaven, that he kicked his leg high, as he often did from the pulpit, and shouted "Glory!"

What a unique man of God who lived and spoke of his love for His Lord. All of us who knew him could share the many stories of his life and great Bible based preaching. Personally, he was a great encouragement and comfort to me during the homegoing of both of my husbands, Howard Talley and Jim Cunningham. He will truly be missed and heaven seems a little nearer now.

Dear Mrs Law and Family, Norma and I want you to know that we have been praying for you and will continue. I know it is a great loss for you, but oh what Brother George has gained! He was a great soldier of the Cross. He loved the One that saved him and called him. He loved his wife and his family, and has left a great heritage in his children, and their children. We loved him, and will miss him greatly. There is no pattern left to make another Preacher Law. He loved the Lord and he loved life. Norma and I are finishing up services in Macon, GA, and will not be able to make it to the Memorial Service, but our hearts will be there. We love the Law Family. Because of Calvary, Dalton and Norma Heath

Preacher Law was a true witness for our Lord. A Man not afraid to stand and preach the truth found in God's Word. We are so thankful for him and his ministry. And to you his family, thank you for sharing. May God richly bless each one of you.
