I was sorry to hear about the loss of your loved one. Please take comfort from the Bible’s promise of a resurrection at John 5:28 & 29. The Bible gives us the wonderful prospect of seeing our loved ones again on a paradise earth. At Psalms 37:9-11, 29 it gives us the hope of living forever on a paradise earth with our loved ones. It will be a time when Isaiah 33:24 will take place and “no resident will say ‘I am sick” On this paradise earth , Rev. 21:4 promises us that “death will be no more.” I know this may not relieve your deep grief at this time, but please take faith in God’s promises. I would like to share additional scriptures with you, if you are interested, please email me at obxclarks@yahoo.com

I worked with Dr. Cheryl Haas on multiple occasions as a hospitalist at Lewis-Gale Medical Center, ER. She was always so caring and dedicated to her work. She was always so pleasant and always had a kind and cheerful word to say especially if I was having a stressful day that always help me feel better. She always had such a wonderful sense of humor. I only knew her for less than a year a half, I wish that I had a chance to work with her longer. She will truly be missed not only by the staff but also the patients.

I had a chance to work with Cheryl many times when she would call me to the Lewis-Gale ED to help out with a pediatric patient. I will always remember her for her dedication to the patients and her sense of humor. She will be deeply missed.

As a former volunteer at Cave Spring Rescue Squad, I have great respect and appreciation for everything Dr. Haas did for the EMS community. She was a woman of great knowledge and integrity whose work saved countless lives. For that, her legacy will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched.
