Mr. Carroll: I found a phone number this morning for Christine Carroll, who made lovely knitted scarves during her treatment at the Lewis Gale Cancer Center. She made a pink one for my daughter Katie and it's hanging in her room, a reminder of Chris and the day she gave it to me. She never wanted payment, but I did trade new yarn with her to make more! I was at the cancer center with my father, Bain Thompson, for his treatments for pancreatic cancer. My father passed away in March of 2014. I was unaware of the passing of Christine and had been afraid to ask the nurses when I didn't see her. I used the internet this morning to search the phone number. I'm very sorry for your loss, but delighted at having met such a pleasant, talented lady. Paula Smith
