Christine "Chris" Carroll 74 of Roanoke went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday June 11, 2014.
Mrs. Carroll is a member of Bonsack Baptist Church for 28 years. Where she was active with the Kitchen Committee, and Vacation Bible School. Also loved her crafts and spending time with her grandchildren and family. A very loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and person, she will be dearly missed by all.
Surviving are her loving and devoted husband Phillip Carroll; two daughters, Debby Stamper and husband George, of Roanoke, Cindy Vonderhaar and husband Scott of Winston Salem, NC; five grandchildren, Michael Moreno, Ashleigh Moreno, Brittany Vonderhaar, Abigail Vonderhaar and Brooke Vonderhaar; along with many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, family asks donations may be made to Susan G. Korman fund, Virginia Blue Ridge Chapter, 4910 Valley View Blvd, Roanoke, Virginia 24012 in her memory.
A funeral service celebrating Mrs. Carroll's life will be held 11:00am Monday June 16, 2014 at the Bonsack Baptist Church with Dr. Bob Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Garden. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday June 15, 2014 at Simpson Funeral Home from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00pm.
