My heart goes out to Christine’s family. She was a beautiful lady with a beautiful spirit which will greatly be missed.
I look back on all the years we spent together in school and then later roommates for a semester in college.
May God be your comfort at this time of grief and sadness
Sincerely
Lillie Showalter Custer

Christine was always a kind and thoughtful person. We spent many swim meets together, always making sure we had plenty of finger jello. In fact, she gave me the recipe. Our girls were always friends. We will definitely miss her and know her family will need lots of love and support. We send our deepest condolences!! REGGIE and MARGIE

I worked with Christine for many years at Colonial Presbyterian Church and she was a sweet and thorough person. She could always be relied upon to perform her work with a smile and the church and I missed her when she left.

To Efren and all of the family: Christine was someone I admired and also thought of as a friend! I enjoyed getting to know her when I first became the Interim Pastor in 2012.
Her beautiful arrangements of flowers and candles and statuary graced the Communion Table on a regular basis. She spent a lot of time doing these designs, but I also sensed that she really enjoyed it!
I have a few of her recipes from the Carry-in meals where she often shared her love of cooking and baking! Her dishes were always delicious!
I know that she loved her daughters very much and was very proud of all of her grandchildren.
She was one of the most thoughtful people I have ever known! She was creative in many ways, She made beautiful scarves for family and friends. She loved gardening and sharing photos of her plants and flowers on Facebook.
I was privileged to sing with her in the choir at Williamson Rd. She had a beautiful Alto voice and could lead that section and keep them on time and pitch!
I loved Christine very much and I will miss her photos and comments on Facebook...most of all I will miss our conversations, which were few and far between in recent years. I always enjoyed being in her company!
My prayers and thoughts are with you. I pray that God will bring you comfort as you share memories with each other. Please tell as many stories to the grandchildren as you can, for this will be how she truly lives on!
Sincerely, (Pastor) Leah O. Harness
