Obituary of Jeffrey Shannon Osborne
Jeffrey Shannon "Jeff" Osborne, 51, of Roanoke was unexpectedly called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 24, 2023. He was preceded by a son, Chandler Lee Osborne; paternal grandparents, John Eugene and Ella Mae Osborne; maternal grandmother, Mary D. Pearcy; and aunt, Donna Rae Saul.
During Jeff's youth he was an active participant in DeMolay. He often credited this organization for making him the man that he was. He was a 1990 graduate of Northside High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Virginia Tech in 1995.
Jeff's work career began in the insurance industry and later evolved into residential real estate. He loved helping his clients find that special place to call home. In addition to his work life he was an avid outdoorsman with a very special love of fishing. When he wasn't helping clients, or fishing, you could find him coaching a travel volley ball team or working with his Warriors volleyball teams at Faith Christian School. Jeff played many roles in the lives of whom he came in contact; however his most significant role was that of a husband and father. These roles of a husband and father are truly what distinguished Jeff as a great man. He loved his girls well.
Surviving is his wife of 24 years, Heather B. Osborne; daughter, Karmin Cyrra Osborne; father, Phil H. Osborne (Lucy); Mother, Martha D. Osborne; sister, Jennifer Osborne Claytor; niece, Marley Claytor; nephew, Tyler Claytor; uncle and aunt, Jack and Jerry Osborne; aunts, Barbara Warren, and Sherry Wine; mother-in-law, Anna P Beveridge and her friend, William "Bill" Vogel; father-in-law, Gary L. Beveridge (Kathleen) and cousins, friends and clients too numerous to mention.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to Faith Christian School 3585 Buck Mountain Road Roanoke, VA 24018
