To the Osborne Family:
Our thoughts and prayers go to you. I met Jeff while in DeMolay back when we were in high school. We instantly became friends and after graduation we went to Beach Week together for the best of times. During that time, he drove me to meet my grandparents who were not that far away and made such an impression on them. Jeff was the kindest individual I ever met.

I just saw this today in the VA Tech magazine and am very saddened. I lived right across the hall from Jeff at VA Tech in 1990 and became really good friends with him. He was an incredibly wonderful person. He reintroduced me to camping when we spent a terrible night getting rained on and soaked from a rather sad little tent, and I swore I'd never go camping again, but he simply helped me understand the importance of good equipment. I'll always remember the dating auction he was in with an outdoor club where part of his bio was his inability to start a camp fire. I also often recount a story where he came up to my friend and I with our lunch dates we met the night before at a party and when he asked me to introduce them it was only then I realized I couldn't remember my dates name. Thanks Jeff! Been years since we last talked but may you be with you Savior enjoying a roaring camp fire this day!

Heather, Gary and the rest of the Osborne family, like everyone I was shocked at Jeff's death.
We hadn't seen each other for quite a while. But ever since our initial meeting at BNI years ago, he left quite an impression. A very sweet guy.
I'm sorry I missed Simpsons last weekend. I wanted to tell u guys in person.
Thinking of u.

I only knew you a short time and wish I had the opportunity to meet
you a long time ago. I will always remember watching you help with Karmin’s Volley Ball Team and the support you gave her in anything she tackled. I will remember the caring loving person you were especially when it came to Heather and Karmin.
Rest in peace . You are in a much better place.

Dear Jeffrey,
I’ve loved you before I saw you.
From the day I met you in this world, my love only continued to grow as I watched you discover the things that fueled your fire and blazed your path through life. I thank God for the blessing of being your mother and the opportunities I’ve had to protect you and teach you everything about the world.
When I knew you’d be coming, my new purpose in life was to tend to your light and marvel in the beauty of your growth. Every thing you leave behind is brighter and better because of you. The Good Lord gave you a heart of gold and arms big enough to engulf anyone in your love, and you took full advantage of that gift. I am and always will be proud to have raised you and watch you build a beautiful family and fulfill your life journey. I don’t understand why your journey ends here on Earth now, but I know the Lord recognizes the good you’ve done in this world and called you home for a reunion celebration.
I will always treasure the memories of you I have in my heart. My love for you is infinite and transcendent. No matter our distance now, I will hold you in my mind and soul until the day we meet again.

Jeff was ALWAYS friendly when coming through the front office at Faith Christian School and would take the time to pause at the Front Desk for a brief conversation. I appreciated his attention to detail and thoughtful inquiries after my family. (He and my husband Lance sold Farmers Insurance together for a short time.)Jeff was clearly an invested memember of our school community. And it was obvious to any onlooker that he was an attentive and proud father of Karmin, bringing her forgotten lunches and notebooks with a happy attitude and pleasant affection.

I've known Jeff at many levels...spouse of Heather/friend/boss/realtor. His charisma, cheerfulness, gentleness and the twinkle in his eye stood out so much. He was always reaching for the stars and was quite successful at grabbing some of them. He touched so many people throughout his life and it's a testament to him that he is sorely missed by so many. The loss of Jeff is unfathomable to his family, friends and the community. Rest well my friend in your heavenly home until we meet again.

It all started when I met Jeff on a friend's trip to NYC. Jeff and I hit it off immediately and we had a lot in common. I felt guilty on the trip because he and I were glued to each other the whole time. I had no idea this was the start of what would become a lifelong friendship with one of my closest, dearest friends. We've had so many wonderful adventures and shared so much over the years. I'll always cherish Jeff , his smile, his voice, his laughter, his caring nature, and his uncondtional love and friendship through all of our ups and downs over the years. He'll always be with me. I love you and I'll miss you my friend. Words can't say enough.

My thoughts of Jeff go back to the time when he and my son, Brad, were such close friends growing up. Jeff was always funny and ,even at a young age, very much a gentleman. Jeffrey will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him . He was a true giver of himself in friendship and in any situation he was called upon. I will miss him not being here. RIP JEFF I love you, Aunt Sherry

In the gentle caress of a breeze, or the warmth of a welcoming smile, Jeffrey lives on. His comforting presence echoes throughout his family's treasured memories. Even in parting, he graces us with an invaluable lesson of love and kindness - the depths he was willing to go for his beloved Heather and Karmin are testament enough. As Jeff embraces serenity in Heaven, let's honor him by spreading warm smiles just as he had throughout life. Cherish this loss not as bereavement but transition to a divine journey ahead.

It is with a heavy heart we mourn the loss of Uncle Jeff, a man whose love, intelligence and humor were only matched by his selflessness. His unique knack for humor added light to even the darkest of situations. His memorable creativity in creating phrases and actions to describe events on the road will have us all doing the “Stromboli” in honor of him. The void he leaves is magnified as we recall special moments, like late night chats under the watchful eyes of an owl on a Tennessee cabin porch. He will be missed immeasurably.

I have way too many memories to share. I'll just say he loved living life with my daughter Heather and my granddaughter Karmin. And he cherished every moment with family, including mine. All the years we had family trips to the beach or family get togethers at home each one was made more special with our Jeff present. Although I miss him, I'm thankful to the Lord he is in heaven with Jesus his Savior. And I so look forward to the day we'll all be reunited in heaven to live there for eternity. And so to Jeff as I often said and would say now
if he were here, "You were truly the son I never had. Thank you for being such a devoted and loving husband to Heather and dad to Karmin. I'll do my best to help take care of our girls. I love you!" Your Momma Hoy
