I thank my God in all remembrance of you. (Philippians 1:3) There are so many wonderful memories that I cherish of Mrs. Hunt. She was my Home Economics teacher for four years at WBHS, our Future Homemakers of America (FHA) advisor, and my FHA State President advisor. I looked up to her and learned so much from her. There are too many to count snapshots in my mind: our classroom, the kitchens, the receptions, FHA district federation meetings, FHA state conventions, candle lighting ceremonies, roses, meeting John Warner and Elizabeth Taylor on the tarmac at the Roanoke airport during a campaign stop, the 1:1s to write and practice speeches, traveling all over the state of VA for state officer council meetings and school board meetings promoting Home Economics Education, FHA and Vocational Education. attending the FHA national convention in San Francisco, enjoying the view from the Golden Gate Bridge with her, and our staying in the Miss America Suite at the Hotel Roanoke for our FHA State Convention. She was a true lady; she was prim, proper and full of dignity. I can't recall a time when she did not have on a suit and heels in public and of course, she influenced my selection of suits during that time too! However her greatest influences were that she believed in me, put courage in me, stood by me (literally and figuratively) and most of all, loved me. I was blessed by her then and still carry today the confidence she instilled in me. I'm so very thankful for the beautiful, inside and out, Mrs. Hunt. With much love, admiration and appreciation including my deepest sympathy to Mr. Hunt, Michael, Karen and your entire family. May the God of all peace and comfort be especially near.

Aunt Tootsie will be very much missed by all who knew her. She was so special to us as we were dating and through our married life.
Her kindness to our daughter Heather when she attended PA school in VA will lnever be forgotten. Our lives are so entertwined with her and Uncle George as we share the same anninversary (19 years later) and our younger daughter, Whitney, shares Tootsie's birthday.
She loved her family dearly and her passing will leave a physical void but the wonderful memories will warm our hearts forever, never to be extinguished,
Your will always be in our minds and hearts, Aunt Tootsie, as you become our guardian angel watching over us.

Mrs. Hunt was m home economics teacher for 4 years. I took every class that she offered.I even was a classroom assistant for her. I learned so much from her… a lot of things that she taught in home economics and family living, I still use today… ironically my husband used to mow the Hunts grass back in the day. She was a great teacher, person , educator and friend. You will be missed!

We were sorry to lose our wonderful neighbor, Mabrey.
It has been sad to see the health decline. She fought hard to stay with us. She and George have been so kind and thoughtful. Mabrey was one of the first people to greet us when we moved here. She will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family as well as the folks that have taken such good care of them.
