Although it was a few short years we were friends when Donald came to St. Thomas Assembly of God, we have many fond memories of sharing family times, meals, couples events, and laughs. It’s been many years since we had any contact, so we were shocked and saddened to hear of Donald’s passing, but glad he is fully healed, restored and enjoying eternity with our Heavenly Father. Rest well and we look forward to a grand reunion some day!

Q: How did you meet Donald?
A: Our families were introduced by a mutual good friend back around 2003. The Scott family began attending Saint Thomas Assembly of God Church for a short time, which is where we attended, as well. During that time, our family got to know the Scott family a bit and had some fun times with them. Despite our journeys going in different directions, we will always remember Donald as a sweet, kind, gentle and loving person who was committed to the Lord, his family and others. Although our family was saddened to hear the news of his passing, we know that he suffers no more and his reward in heaven will be great. It was a privilege knowing him.

I knew Donald from church. He was always friendly and kind with a ready smile. I especially appreciated his support as a school parent.

I found it totally appropriate to mention Donald’s ability to listen. That was one of the things I recall the most about him.
I was two years behind him and he always listened to me. I could tell he was processing what I was saying and gave good advice! That is a rare characteristic I wish more people would possess.
Blessings to all the family.

Got to know Scotty when he started bringing Phyllis to our Thursday lunches. Enjoyed conversing with him at those get-togethers, and have very much missed seeing him since his unfortunate diagnosis. RIP, Scotty.

Donald was always such a good guy. He was always polite, always showed interest in the lives of others, always respectful. I am so saddened at his passing. I know he is in the presence of his Heavenly Father.
