I am so very sorry to hear about Kathryn's death. She was my hero during the time I served as director of church relations at Wartburg College, Waverly, Iowa. She was a powerhouse of a woman, a model of professionalism, while at the same time always radiating grace and humor, even when it was not due!
Kathryn was such an innovative and powerful advocate for the work of the Lutheran Colleges/Universities and she generously shared her time and wisdom with others. I am grateful to have had her as a colleague and role model. I have no question that her legacy lives on in the lives and work of untold numbers of colleagues, students, and of course, her close friends and family.
I know you will dearly miss her daily presence and love. Thank you for sharing her with the rest of us.
