Obituary of William Dudley Wallace

William Dudley Wallace, 75, husband of Linda C. Wallace, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022. He was born in West Virginia and was the son of the late Dan and Mattie Justice Wallace. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Walter, Berlin, Odell and Frank.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked as a Signal Maintainer at Norfolk Southern Railroad for 37 years prior to his retirement.

In addition to his wife of 49 years, Linda Cahoon Wallace, he will be missed and remembered by his children, Adam Wallace, Courtney Wallace Forrest (Kevin), Ken Florkowski (Timi) and a special adopted daughter, Mary Catherine Mullins (Scott) along with their children; grandchildren, Kylie, Jemma, Kayla, Gabby, Alex, Brandon; sister, Gerri Mills; as well as multiple nieces, nephews and other loving family members.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Rev. Joey Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made to the charity of your choice.
