To all the family of Pat Bolt: I am so honored to have had the pleasure of working with Pat at Virginia Western Community College in the Division of Business for many years. Yes, she was a "whiz" in WordPerfect and even when our systems changed over to another, she was right on top of it! It was also my honor to have been the Supervisor in the Business Division and of course all of the faculty in our Division were constantly in and our of our office for various reasons or to discuss matters with the Division Manager--we all had a great rapport--a very, very close relationship with each other, shared in Division Christmas parties, at which Pat always brought some delicious dish; that was when she taught me how to keep food warm when transporting it to places: she always covered her dish in a box, in which there would be newspapers on the bottom, several dish cloths and lots of newspapers wrapped around the container; sure enough, the food would still be plenty warm! I do that now! Pat was one of the sweetest, kindest and most gentle of ladies--always smiling; so proud of her Charlie and daughters. After most of the ladies who taught the AST classes--typing, shorthand (which became obsolete), other classes pertaining to becoming Secretaries/Administrative Assistants, etc., our "fearless leader, Joyce Music,", headed up a luncheon group for many of us and i believe Pat was able to attend some of first few. As we continued the luncheons without Pat, Mrs. Music, Donna Abbatello, or Mary Johnson, would keep us up-to-date about Pat. My condolences, thoughts and prayers are with you all. Cherish all the wonderful memories you have of Pat, and as we all know, Pat is well and At Peace now. We shall meet with her again sometime in the "Sweet By and By". May our Gracious God bring you His Peace and Comfort in the coming days. My love, Anne (Koon) Barba.

To my dear and loving Aunt Pat. I will always remember your beautiful smile, warm and loving heart, and all the unexpected sleep overs we had after visiting. You were truly an extension of grandma Hampton with NOT ONE negative word about anyone or anything. I have learned so much about our family heritage from the family reunions you all so graciously hosted. I am glad you are reunited with your parents (Sam and Thelma) and brother (Don Hampton) in God's kingdom. Love to Uncle Charles, Laura Leonard and family (Scott, Rebecca, Sarah, and Will). and Julie and Rob Martin. My prayers are always with you all.

Pat Bolt Family, Norm and I share in your loss. Pat, Charlie and family have been so much a part of our lives. We spent awesome summers in Galax and the New River Farm with Pat, Charlie and family. Our many times at Galax and the Farm, Pat and I cleaning together while Charlie and Norm did chores, etc. Yes, Pat and Charlie hosted many Hampton Family reunions at the New River Farm which we all miss so much. Norm and I were blessed to have many additional times with Pat and Charlie--too many awesome times together to share here. Pat was one of the most spiritual, kind, caring, and loving people I have ever known--honestly, she was probably the most, not just one of the most. Her family was her life. Here are a couple of my special memories of Pat's sayings which I share often: "The best thing about turning 40 was I didn't see the dust anymore". As anyone that knew Pat knows, she was an adamant house cleaner. The other was "When I wake up in the morning, I say Thank You GOD for letting me wake up; when I sit up in the morning, I say Thank You GOD for letting me sit up; when I stand up in the morning, I say Thank You GOD for letting me stand up". Pat would often tell about saying this each morning. It has stayed with me all these years. For those that don't know, Pat was my first cousin on the Hampton side. Our hearts ache with missing her, but we cherish the memories. Sandi Teresi

Dear Charles, Laura, Julie & Family~
I send my deepest sympathies in the loss of our Dear Pat. I have many memories of her joy, love & happiness. While we'll all miss her, may we rejoice that she is in her Heavenly Home with all of our family that has gone on before us & is with her now. I wish we had lived closer to each other to spend more time together. She was surely an amazing cousin! She has ........ "fought the good fight, finished the race & kept the faith. Now there is in store for her the crown of righteousness, which The Lord, The Righteous Judge, will award to her on that day."
Love & Peace~

To Charlie and his family -- I am so sorry for your loss. May God comfort you during this time.
I remember Pat being such a cheerful person when she would visit the GAB Richmond office. You both were wonderful host to all of us at the house in Palmyra. Such wonderful memories.

God Bless You All,
