It was a great joy to call Darlene my friend and sister in Christ. Our fun times together in our annual Passion Play (pic) will always be a special memory for me. Darlene always had a smile on her face, even in the midst of great suffering, because she found comfort in her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, and she knew that this world was not her home. And she always had a word of encouragement for others, because she understood the mercies of God. I, along with hundreds of other friends, are heartbroken to be without her here, but full of the hope that only comes from a life in Christ that we will be united again in His Heavenly kingdom. We rejoice that she is home in the presence of our Lord, where there is no more pain or suffering.
