Obituary of Laura Frazier Gibson

Laura Gibson, former resident of Radford, VA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Richfield Recovery and Care Center in Salem, VA at the age of 84.  Laura was born to the late Tom and Juanita Frazier on March 12, 1935. She enjoyed family, church, and reading.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Gibson, sisters, Helen Coomer and Nina Bogan, brother, Junior Frazier, and grandson Michael Mabry Jr. 

She will be sadly missed by her children Gary and wife Gloria, Larry and wife Gale, and Tom and wife Lori, her grandchildren, Scott and wife Amy, and Jaime Gibson, and her great-grandchildren, Andrew, Elizabeth and Natalie.

Laura is also survived by her brothers, Charles and Johnnie Frazier and sister, Barbara Wilson and many other family and friends she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2019 at Southview United Methodist Church 3539 Peters Creek Road by Pastor Warren Carswell.  A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin, Va.  The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road.  www.simpsonfuneral.com
