Obituary of George Ray Sutphin

George Ray “Joe” Sutphin, 87, of Salem, passed away, Friday, February 15, 2019. Joe worked and retired from GE after serving his nation in the Air Force. He is survived by his wife Mary Sutphin; daughters LaVon McKay and husband Chris, Katrina Carner and husband Brian, and Kari Sutphin; nieces and nephews, Gene Sutphin and wife Betty, Bruce Fugate and wife Sue, Dean Fugate and wife Tammy, Sharon Linkous and husband Melvin. The family will receive friends Monday, February 18, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home. Services will be held Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Simpson Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m. with Pastor Scot Robertson-Gauge officiating.
