In times of stress and grief, having faith in the resurrection hope that God promised in his word he Bible can comfort us. We know that by means of the resurrection, we will see our dead loved ones again. Isaiah 25:8 tells us that Jehovah "will actually swallow up death forever." That includes the complete removal of distressing effect of death, for the prophecy goes on to say: "The Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces," If you feel sadness now because your loved ones has died, the resurrection will certainly give you reason for happiness.

My dear friend Janet, I've learned to never question God why? Learning that you passed away in your sleep last night is a Blessing. I'm so happy that we talked the other day, as always ending our conversation saying that we loved each other. I strongly believe that God puts people in our lives for a purpose.
It was great that you, me, John and Chris went to Downtown Disney last year, had a blast, knowing you've never been there made it more enjoyable, riding the scooters were a first time for you. Well my friend I'm truly going to miss our talks on the phone, visiting with you in Florida. Fly high Angel, God Bless
To my family and friends, life is too short, please remember that I love you, tell your loved ones that you love them, keep in touch with one another, not all has facebook, call, send a note
My thoughts and prayers for the family and her many friends, God Bless

Our condolences to David and the family. We were so surprised to hear of Janet's passing. We have shared together many joys, and sorrows over the 20 years we have been neighbors. She was always quick to bring us something from the garden, and shared her canned tomatoes with us every year. She loved the Lord Jesus. I am rejoicing that she is with her Savior, but she will be greatly missed.

My heart and prayers are with David and his family and all of Janet's family and friends. She was a dear friend to me and I so enjoyed singing with her in the Gospel Choir at Cloverdale Church of the Brethren for many years. I will miss her bright smile and joyful laughter the rest of my days. But I know I will sing with her again in Heaven.

Janet was one of my dearest and best friends. You could confide anything to her and know that it would always stay private. One of my happiest memories of her is when we were Juniors in high school and our teacher let us have a get together at Lakeside. Janet had just gotten her drivers permit and G'ma allowed me to go with my friends ONLY because Janet was driving. She told Janet to be sure and take care of me (embarrassing me clear down to my toenails!!!) and Janet promised. Off we went with Sheila Dickerson, Charlotte Bryant and Bonnie Amos with us. While there, something I wanted to do and Janet refused to let me do it (whatever it was) because, as she said, my g'mother would not approve. Later, we decided to go to the nearest filing station and buy....6 cents worth of gas!! We pulled up and Janet seriously told the elderly gentleman that we wanted to buy 6 cents worth of gas, while the rest of us tried to suppress our giggles. Yes, she was serious. No, not a penny more. He complied, took our 6 cents and leaned into the car and asked, "Don't you girls have anything better to do than to go around buying just 6 cents worth of gas??" Then, he chuckled and seriously told us to be careful. As we drove off screaming with laughter, we saw him chuckling and shaking his head.

I am so heartbroken to hear about 1 of my best friend's passing. Janet was always so thoughtful & so good to me. I will miss our lengthy conversations & our lunch get togethers. She taught me a lot of things. She generously fixed large batches of her delicious macaroni and cheese for myself & my parents & brother. The world has lost a very special lady. I regret I didn't get to know her sooner. My deepest condolences to all her family & friends & everyone else whose lives she touched. I love you, Janet & miss you so much already.
Love,
Cecilia Deel Barton
