English, Olander M. “Red”

Olander M. “Red” English, 78, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Sunday, November 25, 2018.  He was preceded by his parents, Harry M. and Nancy Jane English and a brother, Wayne English.

Mr. English was a graduate of Jefferson High School.  He was employed by Booth Supply Company and was a former Pastor of Clearbrook Baptist Chruch.

Surviving are his wife, Janis H. English; son, Bruce Allen English and wife Ana; grandchildren, Gabriel and Grace English; sisters, Gloria "Deanie" Cannady and husband Bud, Patricia Plunkettt and husband Donnie, Nancy McGuire and husband Wayne, Pam Wilson and husband Mark; brother, Michael "Mike" English and wife Sheryl; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Clearbrook Baptist Church 5219 Singing Hills Road Roanoke, Virginia  24014.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastor Bryan Ratliff.  Interment will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 3-6 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Simpson Funeral Home.  366-0707
