Cecil was a heck of an athlete. I was fortunate to play a bit of baseball with him in high school. He could really burn my hand with his fastball!
I’m sorry I couldn’t get back to Roanoke to see him.
I was sorry to hear of Cecil's passing and even sorrier that I was not able to attend either the visitation or service and offer my support to Suzy and Tessa in person. I didn't know him well since he was on the road a lot when Tessa played softball for me way back in 1995, but I know he had to be a good man based on the strong and faith-filled person Tessa grew up to be. He will be in my prayers.
Cecil and myself were early classmates as far back as I can remember. We lost touch after I left CSHS in the 10th grade and didn't see him again until the 50th class reunion. I know he will be missed by his family.

My Uncle Cecil loved unconditionally regardless of circumstance. He was always a precious part of my life in sadness and in joy. He was there to share in the joy of the birth of my son and my granddaugher, Kahlyn Love' who adored her Uncle. He spent time with both of us the past few years and we will continue to keep his memory alive and the love he gave to us. We cherish his sweet soul now and for always. In death as in life..you are so loved.
