June and family,
I worked with Continental Insurance here in Roanoke after moving my family from GA. Gene was one of the first people I met and since we shared office space with the claims staff, I was able to observe Gene and his gentle, yet firm spirit. Everything he did he did with grace and in a gentlemanly manner, which is not always easy with someone in his capacity. I can tell you he loved his family unconditionally and took enormous pride in talking about all of you.
I will always remember Gene.
