Sherilyn V. “Sheri” McConnell, 69, of Christiansburg went home to be with the Lord Saturday, April 8, 2017. She was preceded by her parents, Stuart and Winnie Viedt. Sheri was a former employee of Virginia Tech.
Surviving are her daughter, Leigh McConnell; son, Rick McConnell; grandchildren, Lauren, Makenzie, Meredith and Makayla McConnell; sister and brother-in-law, Roxanne and George Carkuff; and a niece, Colleen Conrad.
A celebration of Sheri’s life will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Mountaintop Mission Church 3005 Roanoke Street Christiansburg with the Rev. Randy VanDyke officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory. 366-0707
