So sorry for your loss, Gary was always one of the favorite cousins and we will forever miss his quick wit and easy smile. Was always in awe of his considerable abilities with a hunting bow and will think fondly of him anytime we see a deer or wild turkey.
Much love,
Bill & Jamie

To the Davidsons, my second family,
I don't have the words to say how I feel about this tremendous loss. I pray for you guys multiple times a day and often wonder why. I always felt like a member of the family, and Gary and Debbie always welcomed me "home". I am so thankful I was able to see Gary a few days before his passing. He squeezed my hand and said my name, and I will never forget and forever be thankful for that. He was always able to make me laugh with so few words and was always humble and kind. I am so sorry for your loss and love each one of you with all my heart.

Debbie, Amanda, Allison, and Bailey,
I cannot begin to tell you how sad I have been this past few weeks as Gary's condition worsened so quickly. I am sure that you have each suffered tremendously. I sat with Gary five weeks ago during Bailey,s matches and I never dreamed that he had so few days left. I consider him a best friend and there was never a time that his sense of humor and witty remarks didn't made me laugh. Some of my best memories of Gary were the times that we went to the NCAA wrestling tournaments. The ride to and from as well as the banter back and forth about our favorites was one way that I will remember him. I had the great fortune of seeing Gary win the State Championship at John Battle High School in 1969. I can still remember the smile on his face as the last seconds ticked off the clock in the final minute, and what an impression it left on me, a guidepost into my own future. Another great memory was my habit of calling Gary late on Friday nights and laugh at him as he watched "TV" Rasslin. The times that I spent fishing with Gary and Dennis were also some of my happiest memories. Gary could always catch fish even when they weren't biting for anyone else ! As the years of friendship passed, I think the thing that I admired most about Gary was the relationship and role model that he became for Bailey. I am confident that it will last a lifetime for Bailey and was a love that will be passed on to future generations. Amanda and Allison, you are to young to have lost a Dad ! I know how very proud of you two he was. We often talked about our children and his love for the both of you was amazing. Debbie,I am so thankful for our friendship and I am sure that I speak for many when I say that you are one of the most caring and considerate people I have ever known. I also know how strong you are and you were a tremendous friend to me when Dennis died. I will always be grateful to you for that. I am also very thankful for our trip to New York last year and happy to have shared that experience with you and Gary. Please know that in this time of sadness and loss that I am grieving with your family, thankful that he no longer suffers and will never forget the "character" of Gary Davidson!
