My deepest sympathy to Greg and everyone in Mac's family. I'm sure you already know that she meant so much to so many during her life, and that we mourn your loss with you. Mac was one of those teachers you never forget. She inspired, she encouraged, she supported, and she taught us far more than can be learned in a book - and she made it all so much fun. It's amazing how many of her former students went on to become teachers themselves, to pass on the joy of learning and teaching to another generation. We will miss you Mac!

My heart goes out to the family of "Miss Mac," whom I knew and loved as a teacher and mentor at Northside from 1973 to 1976.
It is not an overstatement to say that Miss Mac had a profound impact on my life. She was a role model. She was Mary Tyler Moore, a smart, funny lady who helped this then teenaged girl find her self-confidence on the stage (as well as her British accent).
Curtain down. Dim the lights.

Dear Greg,
I as well as many, many former students of Mac are heartbroken and shocked. Please know that we are keeping you and other family members in prayer.
Mac has impacted the lives of thousands of students and influenced many greatly in following our passions and endeavors. I know I would never have considered being a theatre director or teacher had it not been for her nurturing way of affirming and challenging me. Many have already posted on Facebook wonderful memories of Mac. I hope you get to see them sometime. Just know she is greatly loved and missed. I know I will see her again. My deepest condolence, Carol Lyn

Miss McDaniel was a beloved teacher of mine at Northside. She must have been in her first or second year of teaching when she taught me. She made me feel important. She motivated me to do my very best. I always knew she cared. My sincere condolences to Mr. St.Clair and her family and friends.
There are not many teachers that stand out in my mind this many years later....but she most certainly does! Class of '74.
Thank you, Miss McDaniel.
