Dear Mr. Tanner,
It is with sadness to learn of Mildred's passing. From that very first time we met you and Mildred just a few years ago, Carol and I were immediately drawn to your kind and gentle spirits - and to your great love for the Lord! Although separated by distance, that initial draw still developed into a special closeness and fondness. We thank the Lord for your lives and the blessing you have been to us. Praying that the Lord will bless you and comfort you at this time.

I have the fondest memories of my "Granny Mert". To this day I can't see a can of Maxwell House Coffee without hoping that it will be full of her delicious chocolate chip cookies. She was such a cherished friend of my grandma Vivian Haga, I like to believe they are enjoying a heavenly reunion.

You and Mildred are much loved by your Faith family, Fred, and by your former neighbors and friends in "The Lakeview Folks".
My prayers are with you and your family as you say farewell for now to your beloved.

May God bless you and comfort you at this time of sorrow. Rejoice in the fact Mildred is at peace and home with her Lord. I have always loved working with Mildred in the Gideon ministry. I have a bible verse that means a lot to me and I would like to share it." Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." Psalms 116:15

Mildred was a wonderful person to all and specifically a fun and inspiring Aunt to me and my Sister. She was more than a sister to my mother; she was a best friend. Mildred was the most talented person I've known. I will miss her.
