I was so sorry to see the obituary of my long ago friend. I went to school with Betty at John Redd Smith from 1st to 5th grades. I think we were in class together every year. I always missed her when I moved and might have seen her during high school. I then went to Martinsville High. Not sure where she went. However, just recently I was going through our class pictures and pointed out Betty's picture to my husband. I ever thought about looking her up. I couldn't find her on FB and didn't know her married name so I gave up. I cry today for not finding her when I was in M'ville. I am so sorry for your loss. She was such a kind person as a kid so I am sure she was throughout her life.
