I’m very sorry to hear about the death of your loved one. It was comforting for me to read “He is a God, not of the dead, but of the living, for they are all living to him”-Luke 20:38. That means our loved ones are alive in Gods memory, and he promises to look after them. . I would like to share other comforting scriptures with you, if you are interested, please email me at lex2005@mail.com

I will always remember his yahooo after he chased a steer down the roping pen at Grove Hill Farm, in Fincastle. Bruce had known hard times but chose to live in the moment with all of the spirit and humor that life can offer. He formed many dreams for young cowgirls and boys when he performed on the rump of his horse with lariats. Even in his later years, as his tall, lean body was wearing down he still insisted on shoeing "Ole Swen"..even if he shod one hoof each day! We are given gifts like Bruce Friend and I hold to the memories! I hope that his family heals and finds strength in his legacy.

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Friend's passing. I have such fond memories as a teenager with him taking Rosie and I to horse shows to barrel race. He was a kind and gentle soul! He will be sorely missed!! My best to his family.

My late husband, Jake, and I were privileged to know Bruce and I am sad to learn of his passing. We bought a fine quarter horse from Bruce (Mr. Bug-a-Boo) when he was 9 and enjoyed him until he died at the age of 38.
I am very sorry for your loss and extend condolences to all the family. May God comfort you at this sad and difficult time.
Blessings,
Peggy Bailey
