Thelma M. Dooley, 77, of Troutville went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, August 16, 2016.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Thomas W. Dooley; children, Sheree Cline and husband Scottie, James Dooley, and Dale Dooley and wife Tysone; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruthie Meador, Virginia Wilson, Georgia Perdue and Brenda Dooley and husband Ray; brother, Alton C. "Butch" Dooley and wife Karen; numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to Coling Baptist Church 54 Spring Hollow Road Troutville, Va. 24175.
A memorial service will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Coling Baptist Church by the Rev. Mike Hogan. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road and following the service at the church on Sunday.
