Heaven is now the home address for Thelma she was welcomed by those we have already missed terribly. For Thelma her reward is finally come but for the hearts of her family the ache is strong. May all the sweet memories be a source of comfort when needed the most. May we all share the love she so freely gave.
My first memory of Thelma was a giant family cookout at her house with all of the Dooley clan. There were so many faces that I was meeting for the first time. Tommy and some of the guys tended the grill, Thelma and the girls gathered every kind of side dish and desert you could image. Jimmy, Sheree and Theresa ran around in the yard while one after another big story was told to me as I met all of the family. Thelma listened to all the tall tales and on one of her times passing by, she leaned down and whispered, " Don't believe half of this stuff." as she gave me a big grin. That told me she had my back that day. I came to know that she was being kind to me because of the tremendous love she had for her brother, Buddy.
She always loved her family and never backed down. To me she was a tower of strength of character. Her faith in the Lord now is rewarded.
May we all find a bit of Thelma's strength to carry on.
