I was looking up John on Facebook and I was so surprised and saddened to discover that he's no longer with us. We knew each other at New Jersey Bell. We weren't close friends, but we had some good times together and with other friends. I remember a day of fishing, an Emmylou Harris concert, and a whitewater rafting trip in Pennsylvania. We were both fans of Jean Shepherd. He was extremely likeable and congenial--a really good guy. Please accept my sincere condolences.

May the beautiful memories of your loved one provide solace and strength to you and your family during this difficult time. May you also find much comfort in God’s promise of life without end on a Paradise earth. Matt 5:5 & Psalms 37:11, 29

Dear Janis, I am writing to express my sympathy to you after hearing of John's passing into heaven. While I did not know John well—I have had the wonderful privilege of becoming your friend—and so, indirectly know the best parts of him-- I am touched to learn of his interests in musical theater and the arts--our family is blessed to have 2 aspiring daughters in the performing arts and we will gladly contribute to those causes in John honor.
Janis, I read a wonderful quote, from an unknown author, it read; “One day, a son asked his mother, ‘Why is it always the best people who die?’ The Mother answered, ‘Son, if you are in a meadow which flowers do you pick? The worst ones or the best?” May you and your family draw on the wonderful memories, and love I’m sure John left behind. I’m sure time will refine those memories; leaving only the best, and all of his goodness will live on in those he touched.
Please let me know if there is anything we can do for you?
Peace be with you,
Steven

My Condolences to the Fugel family. This must be a hard time as you deal with the loss of your loved one. May you find comfort from our loving Father who "will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away" Revelation 21:4. This is a wonderful future promise which awaits us all under the reign of Christ Jesus and will do away with death forever.

So very sorry to hear of John's passing and courageous battle with cancer. Will always remember his PPXII Glee Club solo as John the Baptist from "Godspell" our senior year: "Prepare ye the way of the Lord!" What a nice guy and always had a smile for everyone! Sending my deepest sympathy and prayers to John's wife and family.

Janis, I am so sorry for your loss. John was a good man and loved you so much. You and John were closer than any couple I have ever known. I would say to myself many times; "now that is true love." I always enjoyed being around both of you. We had such a great time. He was a kind "gentleman and gentle man." You will miss him so much; but you will always have wonderful memories to cherish forever.
Love you
Robyn
