I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Ed. When I went to work for IBM in Roanoke, Ed was one of the first to help me get going. He was very much a leader and a technical whiz. Even though he was such a quiet, soft spoken person, he never hesitated to help and advise.
Many years have passed since 1958, but I remember Ed very fondly.

Dear Betty,
Even though it has been many years since I retired from
IBM and left Roanoke, when Becky Perdue gave me this
information on Ed' s passing, I recalled you and Ed so well.
It seems like yesterday when we were working at IBM in
Roanoke. He was a kind and pleasant person to work with
in IBM. I am sure he will never be forgotten.
I wanted to share my condolences with you and your family.

My sympathy is with you all in the passing of Ed. When I went to work for IBM, Ed was one of the first people I met and a true mentor to me and many others. He was such a quiet, soft spoken person, yet always there to help and advise. His quiet, competent leadership was a positive influence through those early years.
Ed was a person who demonstrated and lived his Christian faith daily. He truly fought the good fight.

Ed will be missed by so many, and his loving, caring ways will always be appreciated forever. Although I only worked with him a little at IBM many years ago, I have never forgotten his generosity and him always being eager to help a new guy learn the ropes, he really made a difference in the world... I will always be grateful to have known him and worked with him. With my sincerest condolences to the family, and God be with you during these difficult times, Sincerely,
Dave Peterson
