Mildred Lee Crowe Gibson was received into the arms of her Savior on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the age of 87. Mrs. Gibson, formerly of Roanoke and lately residing in Lakeville, Minnesota, was a daughter of the late Curtis Marvin, Sr. and Thurza Virginia Crowe of Salem. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Frederick Melvin Gibson, brother, Kenneth Crowe, and sister, Helen Crowe Riley. Surviving are her sister, Doris Crowe Elliott; brother, Curtis Marvin Crowe, Jr.; son, Mark Douglas Gibson and wife Dianne; daughter, Teresa Gibson White and husband Anthony; grandchildren, Anastasia Gibson, Zack White, Nichole White, and Luke White. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
