Obituary of Anne Jennelle

Anne Jennelle, 82, of Roanoke, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 14, 2012. She was preceded by her loving husband, Harry L. Jennelle. Anne was a long time member of Hollins Road Baptist Church. She retired from the United States Postal Service, Roanoke Branch after many years of service. She was the matriarch of the family. A very strong independent woman who was a doer and made things happen. A beautiful woman inside and out who touched everyone's life she ever met. She loved her family and will not be forgotten, and will be dearly missed. Surviving are her three sons, Michael W. Jennelle and wife Carolyn of Savannah, Ga., James E. Jennelle and wife Sherry of Sterling, Mark A. Jennelle and wife Robin of Roanoke; grandchildren, Glenn and Chris Brist, Corey, Laura, Mason and Haley Jennelle; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Michael and Brody Brist. Along with Mark Hoppe and countless others. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday, April 17, 2012 from 2to 4p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home. A service celebrating Anne's Life will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the funeral Home. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
