Obituary of Roger Christopher Weeks

Roger C. (Hawk) Weeks, 45, of Elliston went home to heaven Thursday, April 9, 2015. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard C. Weeks, and his mother, Mary Jane Green Weeks. Roger retired after 22 years of service with the City of Salem. He was considered by his family to be an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, working in his yard and most of all helping others. Surviving are his sisters, Bonny Aesy and Terry Weeks; brother, Richard "Denny" Weeks and wife Kathy; many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends too numerous to mention. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Heartland Hospice 2800 Electric Road Suite 105C Roanoke, Virginia 24018. A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2015 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
