John Richard Kirchoff of 76 Torry Lane Stuarts Draft, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015 at The Virginia Veterans Care Center in Roanoke VA after a long illness.He was born in North Bend OR and was preceded in death by his parents James Earl Kirchoff and Angelia Johanna Hirshman and by a brother, Dell James Kirchoff.Survivors include his loving wife, Julie H. Kirchoff, a son, Kenneth James and his wife, Karen White Kirchoff, two granddaughters, Samantha and Katelyn and a great granddaughter Jayla, all living in the Baltimore MD area. John has a brother, Robert Kirchoff and his wife Wendy in Beavercreek OH and a sister Karen Skroder Stevenson in Medford OR. In addition, John has three stepsons, G. Michael and William F. Howard and Thomas P. Moses, sons of his wife, Julie. John was in the United States Air Force for 12 years and then worked for Compaq, Dell and Hewlett-Packard Computer Companies as a Design Engineer. He retired from HP in 1962.A Military Funeral Honors Service with the VFW in attendance will be conducted at the National Cemetery in Culpeper VA on Friday May 15, at 2:00PM. All are welcome to join the family for this service. A very special Thank You to the Veterans Care Center for the kindness and care given to John in the last 10 months.Arrangements are being made by Simpson Funeral Home in Roanoke VA.
