Norman E. Collins, 64, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Friday, March 20, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Maggie Collins, and a sister, Elsie Gayle Collins. Mr. Collins was the owner of Norman's Carpet Service. Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Marie Collins,; children, Lisa Hensley, Amy Collins, Debra Spicer and husband Paul, and Luke Collins; Ten Grandchildren, Nine Great Grandchildren; brother, Melvin Collins and wife Helen; sisters, Mildred Pruett, Margaret Gray and husband Leroy, Joyce DeHart and husband Herman, Judy McDaniel and husband Russell, Gladys Beckner and husband Gary; brother-in-law, Jesse Pruett and a number of nieces and nephews. The family offers a special thank you to Libby, Dr. Skelton and the staff at Blue Ridge Cancer Car. Flowers are appreciated or memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice 2408 Electric Road Roanoke, Va. 24018. A graveside service will be conducted 1 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2015 in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
