Very fond memories of Mr. Schaffer and his family. My dad and he were roommates, and our parents were close. Remember taking a cross- country Mobile home tour through the Smoky Mountains, to New Orleans and down the Florida coast with Mr. Schaffer, his wife, Gerry, and their beautiful daughters; Larissa and Judy. Visits to Lakeside Park, cookouts and watching Bonanza on the TV. Lost my dad, Walter, in 2010 and my Mom, Ellen, in 2014. Seems like so many pillars of my youth are now gone, and I am now near the front of the line. My condolences to the family. A wonderful human being and proof that the good do not always die young. Our loss is heaven's gain.
