Obituary of Thomas Henry Franklin

Tommy H. Franklin, 71, of Salem, Va., passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. He retired from the City of Roanoke. Tommy was a member of the Moose Club and enjoyed many trips to Atlantic City. Surviving are his former wife, Vickie Franklin; children, Christy, Jerry and Tom Franklin; grandchildren, Chasity and Anthony Franklin, and Braylon Hensley; stepdaughter, Ashley Hanson; brother-in-law, Richard Poff; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Martha and Irvin Poff; and special friends Ann Landes and Carolyn Yopp. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2015, at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2015, at Simpson Funeral Home, 540-366-0707.
