Obituary of Janie Alice Hubbard

Janie Bowman Hubbard, 83 of Troutville went home to be with the Lord, Monday, February 16, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel, parents, Morie and Myrtle Bowman, sister, Dorothy Angle and a brother, Kyle Bowman. Surviving are her children, Jane Skiles, Betty Garber and husband Steve, Ann DeMaury and husband Mark, Robert Hubbard and wife Susan, Myrtle Montgomery and husband David; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren; brother, Vaiden Bowman and wife Virginia; sister-in-law, Arlene Bowman Brunk and husband Randolph; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff at the Kissito PACE Center for all of their special care. Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Peters Creek Old German Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Old Peters Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. 366-0707
