Patricia (Pat) A. Gibson DeLong, 75, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, February 8, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband James Melvin (Mel) Delong, and two sons, Stevie and Jimmy DeLong. Pat was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was a devoted crafter. Surviving are her children, Tommy DeLong, Susie DeLong, and Billy DeLong and wife Sandra; grandchildren, Jacob DeLong, Joshua DeLong, and Amanda Ashe; great grandchildren, Fisher and Elaina Ashe; special friends, Patty Bailey, and Pat and Raymond Stanley, Elizabeth McGlynn; and her devoted fur babies, Gabby, Cammie and Charlee. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Amedisys Hospice 5221 Valley Park Drive Suite 3 Roanoke, Va. 24019. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory.
