Obituary of Margaret Bowman Curry

Margaret "Peggy" Bowman Curry, 77, of New Castle went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, January 29, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Douglas C. and Elizabeth S. Bowman, former husband, Edmund Minor Stringer, sister, Patricia Linkous and a grandson James R. Stultz, III.
Peggy retired after forty years of service as a school teacher. She taught both in Danville and Roanoke.
Surviving are her husband, George P. Curry, Jr.; daughter and son in law, Beth and Bubba Stultz; granddaughters, Meagan Henry and husband David, Heather Stultz sisters, Linda Rademaker and husband William, Rita Dudley and husband Glenn; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family offers a sincere thank you to the staff at North Roanoke Fresenius Dialysis, 5W at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital and to the staff on the Palliative Unit at Roanoke Memorial for all of their compassion and care.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, February 2, 2015 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastor Greg Moser. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
