Robert C. "Bobby" Perdue, Jr. 58, of Boones Mill died Sunday, January 24, 2015. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert C. "Bob" Perdue, Sr., mother, Doris Graham Perdue Finn; and an infant daughter, Kayla Brooke Perdue.
Bobby retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation. He was known to his friends as an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. Surviving are his wife, Teresa Snider Perdue; daughter, Jessica Perdue Piescienski and husband Shawn; grandson, "Lil Dude" Nicholas Carlyle Piescienski; sisters, Linda Poff and husband Bob and their son Kevin Poff, Karen Switzer; step mother, Prudia Perdue;five godchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and friends too numerous to mention.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Gillian Barre Syndrome Foundation The Holy Building 104 1/2 Forrest Avenue Narberth PA 19072.
A celebration of Bobby's life will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road with the Rev. Jim Rivers officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Simpson Funeral Home. In honor of Bobby, casual dress is encouraged :) 366-0707
