Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family at this time. Our dad (Johnny Smith) played music with him many times over the years. He was always a welcome gentleman at our house. Many conversations in our house have been about the music years and all the beloved men whole lit up our young lives with their gift of music. No name ever stood out any more than the great banjo and guitar player of Carl Basham. Our entire family loved him and will miss a great musician. God bless you special, Joyce during this time. Prayers go out to all family members.
