Edith May Harrison 79 of Roanoke went to be with the Lord on Friday January 23, 2015. She was born on November 22, 1935 in Salford, England to the late Clara Hardwick and Arthur Sollinger. She was also preceded by her son, Donald Harrison. She came America 1957, and few years later, she met, fell in love and married her husband Donald in 1962. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 52 years, Donald Harrison; three sons, David Harrison and wife Irene of Sweden, Jeffrey Harrison and wife Debra of Georgia, Steven Harrison and wife Maria of Roanoke; and their son Donald’s wife Cheryl of New York; a sister, Kathleen Krackenberger of Florida; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ASPCA, or the Cancer Society in Mrs. Harrison’s memory. A funeral service celebrating Mrs. Harrison’s life will be held 11:00am Tuesday January 27, 2015 in Simpson Funeral Home with Pastor Troy Mays officiating. Interment will be private. Family will receive friends Monday January 26, 2015 from 5:00-8:00pm at Simpson Funeral Home. Friends may send their condolences to the family by visiting www.simpsonfuneral.com.
