Eugene F. “Gene” Hamilton 83 of Salem passed away Sunday January 18, 2015. He was preceded by his loving wife of 56 years and best friend, Cloryeen A. Hamilton, parents, Kenny and Gertie Hamilton, a sister, Annie H. Warden and brothers, Everett and Andrew Hamilton.
Surviving are his son, Gary E. Hamilton of Maurertown; sisters, Thelma Loreane Wagner and husband James of Rocky Mount, Doris H. Tolliver and husband Bob of Roanoke; and a brother, Dean Hamilton and wife Rosemary of Rustburg.
A graveside service will be held 12:00pm Thursday January 22, 2015 in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Rev. Troy Mays officiating. Family will receive friends Wednesday January 21, 2015 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm at Simpson Funeral Home.
