Emerson Lane Cecil, infant daughter of Matthew and Ashley Cecil went to be with Jesus Tuesday, April 10, 2012. The family was blessed to have Emerson for seven precious hours before she gained her angel wings. In addition to her parents she is survived by a brother, Cole Cecil; grandparents, Michael and Joyce Potter, Jay Cecil, and Renee and Mac McMillan great grandmothers, Freda Potter, Virginia Edmonds and Edith Tolley and other family members and friends too numerous to mention. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
