Carolyn Allinson 67 of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 18, 2014. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Farmer, mother, Imogene Turner, brother Kenneth Farmer, and sister, Mary Clower. She was a former employee of Hanover Direct. Surviving are her children, Russell Nelson and wife Tammy, Christopher Shetzley and wife Kim, Joseph Allinson and wife Melissa, and Justin Leftwich; nine grandchildren, brother, Eugene Farmer; sisters, Phyllis Smith, Dreama Harper and husband Dave and Barbara Farmer. A celebration of Carolyn's life will be held 6 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2014 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. The family will receive friends following the service.
