Judy Edwards Slusser of Vinton passed away Friday, November 28, 2014. She was preceded in death by her father, William Saunders Edwards, Sr. and a brother, William Edwards, Jr. She worked as a sorter/sweeper for BMS Direct. Surviving are her husband, Eric Slusser; son, Justin Edwards; grandson, Zackary Edwards; mother, Shirley (Frankie) Edwards; sisters, Becky Edwards, and Shelby Smith; brothers, David Edwards and wife Tammy; Granville Edwards and wife Lona; Randall Edwards; numerous nieces and nephews; and her childhood best friend, Melissa Parsons. She is also survived by her spoiled (fur baby) Pepper. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Church Cemetery, Botetourt County. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Simpson Funeral Home.
