Nellie Peters Young, 85, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord, Friday, November 21, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Young.
Mrs. Young worked in banking for forty years. She had been employed by First National Exchange, Colonial American, the Bank of Virginia and Central Fidelity banks. She was a member of North Roanoke Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Lisa Scott and husband Gary; granddaughter, Olivia Scott and fiancé Tim Ryan grandson, Zachary Scott, and her beloved dog, Max.Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, November 24, 2014 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Dr. Darryl G. Crim. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
